Ray

Anthony

retrospective

Hall of Fame Trumpet player.  Band Leader. Jazz Legend.

For over 70 years, Ray Anthony has entertained the world with his virtuosic trumpet performance and a seemingly neverending release of classic Jazz and Big Band hits.  The last surviving member of the Glenn Miller orchestra, appeared in the Glenn Miller movie Sun Valley Serenade before joining the U.S. Navy during World War II.

After the war he formed his own group. The Ray Anthony Orchestra became very popular in the early 1950s, with "The Bunny Hop" as well as the theme music from Dragnet and Peter Gunn.

In 1952, Ray Anthony hosted the now legendary party at his home to introduce a young actress named marilyn Monroe to the world.  This party is the basis for the short documentary, Marilyn and I.  Here now is restored, revamped and reprised selection of some of Ray Anthony's greatest moments.
